Australian Cruisers Get Your Plan A Cruise Month Grove On !

For those of you who love cruising [who doesn’t right] October is a great month to start looking around for the best cruising deals out there.

October starts the peak Australian Cruising Season, with many Australians having already booked their cruises for this Australian cruising season and they are in the process of booking their cruises for next year.

Many of us use local travel agents which is a great way to book, as travel agents play a very important role in not only in the Australian cruise industry but also internationally.

The fact is 80% of Australians plan and book a cruising holiday with a travel agent.

CLIA which stands for Cruise Lines International Association for those of you who don’t know, have set out with a global campaign called Plan A Cruise Month.

The campaign is to create the awareness and a platform where travel agents and cruise lines and the industry partners can showcase what a cruising holiday offers today and into the future.

It is also being able to show that a cruise holiday is for everyone and it can suit all types of budgets.

Plan A Cruise Month is celebrated throughout Australasia, North America and Europe.

While the efforts focus on consumer awareness of cruise travel, it is also designed to highlight CLIA Certified Travel Agents as the best way to book a cruise holiday.

This initiative also provides CLIA Travel Agents with the tools and resources they need to promote booking cruise travel to new and current clients, said a spokesperson from the CLIA.

So how can you get a great deal through Plan A Cruise Month??

My advice is to keep checking with the travel agents that are indorsed by CLIA, over the next four weeks.

You never know what sort of deal might pop up! Who knows it might be too good to refuse. Please be mindful of when you do book to make sure of the deposit and final payment terms and conditions.

Each week has been set aside for different styles of cruising, these are as follows:

1. 04th -09th October – Luxury & Expedition Cruising.
2. 10th -16th October – River Cruising.
3. 17th -23rd October - Cruising From Australia.
4. 24th -31 October - International Cruising.

Cruise The Seas Media can also reveal that Australia’s largest cruise operator Carnival Australia is marking the region’s first Plan A Cruise Month with scores of great deals on offer throughout October.

Each of the cruise operator’s seven lines – P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Cunard, P&O Cruises World Cruising and Seabourn – is offering deals and savings to celebrate Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia’s inaugural month-long promotion including:

* Carnival Cruise Line is offering savings of up to $600 per cabin as well as 50 per cent reduced deposits, with an eight-night New Caledonia cruise on Carnival Legend priced from $799* per person twin share.

* P&O Cruises is offering up to $200 on-board credit, a soft drink package and a bottle of wine per cabin, with an eight-night Pacific Jewel cruise sailing from Sydney around south east Australia priced from $699* per person quad share.

* Princess Cruises is offering up to $100 on-board credit per stateroom and 50 per cent reduced deposits on domestic and overseas cruises.

* For bookings in a verandah or above, Holland America Line is offering up to US$150 on board credit per stateroom, return air fare deals from $999 per person on select 2017 Europe sailings as well as extras including a Signature Beverage Package and Pinnacle Grill.

During the summer cruise season which starts in October and runs through to April 2017, 21 ships from Carnival Australia’s seven cruise lines will sail local waters.

Highlights include maiden visits by Holland America’s Maasdam, Princess Cruises’ Emerald Princess and Seabourn Encore, which will be the youngest and most luxurious ship ever to visit Australia when it arrives in late January, as well as a Royal Rendezvous with Queen Mary 2 and her younger sister Queen Elizabeth in Sydney on February 25.
